Melrath Gasket Style Chart

Melrath Metal gaskets are available in your choice of metals with heat resistant or other type fillers.

Applications include: Heat Exchangers, condensers, pumps, compressors, boilers. Available single and double jacketed.

#10 Single jacketed with non-asbestos or heat resistant fiber and no top washer. Protects both edges of filler material. For relatively narrow applications.
#20 Double jacketed with non-asbestos or heat resistant filler and top washer. Provides maximum filler protection. Most popular style for heat exchangers.
#21 Double jacketed with non-asbestos or heat resistant filler and top washer. Provides maximum filler protection. Most popular style for heat exchangers.
#22 French type - one piece metal jacket with filler. For narrow applications where positive, metal gasket face is required across full width.
#23 French type - two piece metal gasket with filler. For irregular or wide shapes not needing filler material protection or extra flange support at outer edge.
#24 French type - modified three piece metal jacket and non-asbestos or heat resistant filler.
#25 Inverted French type - one piece metal jacket and non-asbestos or heat resistant filler fully enclosed in single metal shell overlapped on one face. For narrow width application.
#26 Overlapping metal jacket. Non-asbestos or heat resistant filler fully enclosed in single metal shell overlapped on one face. For narrow width application.
#14 Concentric grooved profile gasket with style 14 as filler. Used where conditions require a profile type gasket and complete flange protection.
#15 Double jacketed profile gasket with Style 14 as filler. Used where conditions require a profile type gasket and complete flange protection.
#16 Single jacketed profile gasket with Style 14 as filler. Allows flange protection on one face. Jacket material may be different than filler material.
#17 Serrated metal with machined concentric ribs. Used where wide, all metal gaskets with reduced contact areas are required.
#100 Plain single sheet corrugated gasket for low pressure seals on smooth flanges with low bolt pressures. Low cost, light weight & more resilient than flat solid gaskets.
#200 Non-asbestos or heat resistant filler cemented on grooves of Style 100. Allows positive seal on rough or uneven flange surfaces.
#1300 Single jacketed with corrugated Style 100 filler.
#1400 Single jacketed with corrugated Style 200 filler.
#1500 Double jacketed corrugated with non-asbestos or heat resistant filler. Corrugated jacket results in added resilience.
#1600 Double jacket corrugated with non-asbestos or heat resistant filler and flat or plain top piece.
#1700 Single jacketed corrugated with non-asbestos or heat resistant filler and no top metal piece.
#1900 Double jacketed corrugated with Style 100 filler. The metal corrugated filler offers a greater resistance to temperature change problems.
#2000 Double jacketed corrugated with Style 200 filler.
#28 Solid gasket-round cross section. Formed from round cross-section wire. Normally installed in narrow machined flanges used in low pressure and low bolt load application.
#29 Diamond cross section-solid metal.
#30 Meltite ring joint gasket-oval shape-API-601-solid metal.
#31 Meltite ring joint gasket-octagonal shape-API-601-solid metal.
#32 Meltite R.T.J. transition gasket oval or octagonal ring type joint-solid metal.
#33 Lens gasket-solid metal-machined-a line contact seal for high-pressure piping systems.
#34 Delta-solid metal-machined-gasket that inserts into triangular groove . A pressure vessel or valve bonnet gasket used in pressure range of 5,000 psi and higher.
#35 Solid metal for smooth flange face and high bolt load. Great strength, good heat conductivity and resistance to temperature, corrosion and pressure. Many sizes & shapes -all metals and thicknesses.
